Arjun Banjade
I was born in Arghatos VDC -5, Arghakhanchi, Nepal. This is the home where I was born.

My grandmother, Durga uncle and his family live in this home nowdays.

Left - where I moved with my parents.

I moved to new house with my parents when 
my parents seperated from their parents.

I went to Shree Saraswati Secondary School, Arghakhanchi, Nepal. It takes about 10 minutes to get in the school from my home. I spent my 10 years and graduated from school in 1983.

After completing School Leaving Certificate (SLC) in 1983, I went to Kathmandu and joined Intermediate in Science (I.Sc.) at Amrit Science Campus, Tribhuvan University in 1984.

After completing SLC in 1983, I went to Kathmandu and joined Amrit Science Campus in 1984. Amrit Science campus is considered the number one college in Nepal for science studies.

It was the first time I was away from my home. It took one and half days on foot to get reach Tansen, Palpa. I was with two other people who were already been Kathmandu. We took a bus from Tansen, Papla for Butawal and stayed overnight there. We went to Kathmandu by bus next day.

I completed I.Sc. in 1986

I completed I.Sc. in 1986 from Amrit Campus and joined Bachelor in Science (B.Sc.) at Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University in 1987.

Tri-Chandra Campus is the oldested college in Nepal. The name Tri-Chandra comes from King Tribhuvan and then Prime Minister Chandra Samsher Rana

I completed B.Sc. in 1990. 

I joined the Central Department of Population Studies (CDPS), Tribhuvan University in 1990. I completed MA in Population Studies in 1994 with dissertation.

I worked as a field supervisor for a number of research activities when I was doing my MA (go to photo album and to pictures while working) 

After completing MA, I taught "Population Education" at Bhaktapur Multiple Campus, Bhaktapur and at Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal as a Lecturer (July 1995-August 1998). 

At the same time, I worked for the Johns Hopkins University/Population Communication Services (JHU/PCS) Nepal Office as a Consultant/Program Assistant (July 1995 to August 1998).

I left Nepal in August 24, 1998 for the US.

I joined Masters of Arts in International Affairs (MAIA) with Communication and Development Studies as major at Ohio University, Ohio, USA in September 1998. 

I completed an Internship with the Johns Hopkins University/ Center for Communication Program (JHUCCP) Baltimore, Maryland. I worked at the Research and Evaluation Section for Nepal Project from June 14 to August 31, 1999.

I graduated from OU in MAIA with Communication and Development Studies 
as major in June 2000.

Since September 2000, I am in Ph.D. program in Mass Communications - Telecommunications at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, USA.
